Process cooling networks typically distribute cooling water from circulation equipment to different workshops and production equipment. Main pipelines cover extensive areas with numerous branch lines, while the system also needs to accommodate future equipment additions and production line layout changes.

For manufacturing companies, cooling systems are auxiliary utility systems, but insufficient flow, connection leakage, or pipeline blockage can still affect the normal operation of critical production equipment.
